Rawabi Mini Marathon Season 3 Concludes with Record-Breaking Participation, Strengthening Qatar’s Fitness Movement

The Rawabi Mini Marathon 2026 – Season 3 concluded successfully with its highest-ever participation, marking the most impactful and widely attended edition to date. Building on the momentum of the previous two seasons, this year’s marathon received an overwhelming response from the community, further strengthening its position as a leading health and wellness initiative in Qatar.

Organized in partnership with the Qatar Sports for All Federation (QSFA) and the Rawabi Sports League (RSL), the event reflected a shared commitment to promoting active lifestyles and community engagement in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.

The marathon was officially flagged off by Mr. Mohammed Abdulla, Managing Director, in the presence of Mr. Ajmal Abdulla, Executive Director; Mr. Muhammed Sadikh, Group Director; Mr. Haris Thayyil, Group Director and Mr. Muhammed Sinan, Associate Director, along with department heads.

With a strong presence across retail, wholesale, food & beverage, manufacturing, and trading, the organization continues to actively support community-driven initiatives that encourage health, wellness, and social connection, while contributing meaningfully to national development goals.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ajmal Abdulla, Executive Director, said:

“Reaching Season 3 with such an incredible response reflects the growing awareness and enthusiasm for fitness within our community. The Rawabi Mini Marathon has evolved into a platform that brings people together with a shared purpose—embracing healthier choices and strengthening community bonds. This year’s participation truly exceeded expectations.”

The marathon saw enthusiastic participation from people of all ages and nationalities, creating an atmosphere of unity and positive energy. The 2-kilometer walkathon route, starting from Al Gharafa Stadium and concluding at Rawabi Hypermarket, offered participants an accessible and engaging way to celebrate Qatar Sports Day through physical activity.

The success of the event was further strengthened by the support of valued partners Sparx, Liyano, ECKA Sport, Para John, Elegant Star,Saleem Store Trading, English Garden, Haleeba, Farm Olivia, Kitchen Scent , Rawa , Baladna , Noogy , Royal Taj  & Trademen whose contributions played a key role in enhancing the overall experience.

Participants shared their excitement and appreciation for the event’s inclusive spirit. One participant commented, “Seeing people from so many different backgrounds walking together was truly inspiring. The energy was amazing, and it felt like a real community celebration.”

As part of the marathon celebrations, special marathon-day offers were introduced at Rawabi Hypermarket and Café Lovella, located in front of Rawabi Hypermarket Izghawa, promoting healthy, active living, and balanced lifestyle choices, while enhancing the festive atmosphere and encouraging participants and families to continue the celebration.

The resounding success of the Rawabi Mini Marathon Season 3 highlights the growing momentum for health and wellness initiatives in Qatar. With participation increasing year after year, the event continues to inspire the community to move more, live healthier, and come together for a shared cause.
